The E-HOOP project is about making education more inclusive through ICT. It introduces a new, unified approach to developing content suitable for learners with one or many learning difficulties, eliminating the need to design a dedicated course for each difficulty addressed.
We designed the e-Hoop platform which uses two types of assessment in order to adapt the learning process to the abilities, needs, and preferences of the learner:
- Assessment of the learner before entering the learning environment;
- Assessment while learning is happening.
We also designed a LEARNING OBJECT SEQUENCER (LOS) which “reads” content and “integrates” preferences or constraints as they are captured in the learner’s profiles and presents the final content in a coherent manner to the learner.
